CRITIQUE FEEDBACK
I just wanted to say that I enjoyed the crits yesterday, and I was impressed by the majority of research and ideas that were presented. I hope you all found it interesting to hear the research that others had done into company names, histories and designs.
It was disappointing that not everyone had prepared research and / or ideas. Please note that individual project grades will be affected if you do not participate in critiques, this is in addition to the effect on the 10% allocated to class participation.
See you all next week.
Looking forward to seeing your final designs!

HAND DRAWN LETTERFORMS in INDESIGN?
You logotype has to be produced in InDesign, but a few people will be designing hand drawn letterforms. In this case then obviously the logotype will not be produced in InDesign, however......
1) You will have to draw the letterforms again and again until you get each letter perfect , and you will then scan and collate them as a logo in InDesign.
2) As a designer, you would have to produce digital files of a logo for a client, regardless of whether letterforms were computer or hand generated.

MOUNTING WORK
I was discussing mounting work with a couple of people at the end of class....
The reason the size is specified as 10.75 x 16.75", is that you stick it down and then trim it!
I believe your print outs are 11 x 17"? You cannot stick an 11 x 17 onto an 11 x 17 and get it perfect, or stick an 11 x 17 down and trim it to 11 x 17. So.... you print out at 11 x 17, stick it onto card / board, then trim it down to 10.75 x 16.75".
Remember - I said card is as good as board. Don't spend fortunes on expensive picture framing / mounting board. Dollar Tree do foam board too - thicker than card or mount board, but lighter. (And it's only a dollar!)

5.30pm CLASS - CRN83276
I forgot to say yesterday - can we please start the class at 5.40 instead of 5.30?
It will give me just a few extra minutes to grab a coffee in between classes.
Thank you!

WHO IS THE SMOOTHIE KING?
Someone put a Smoothie King logo on the board yesterday (2.30pm class).... but no one talked about him, and he was left... alone...

What is it?
The words say: A Country Store. OK - a country store selling crackers?
The images says it's a man sitting in a saloon, (with a beer barrel?).
I thought it was a furniture store. Maybe he makes wooden furniture and beer barrels?
You're telling me it's a restaurant???
