PROJECT 4

We have a critique scheduled for next Wednesday (5th).
We will be looking at your thumbnails for the calendar DPS, but I also expect a chosen idea worked up as a full size rough visual.
We will also look at your thumbnails for the cover, and if you have time, it would be good to see a chosen cover idea worked up to a full size rough visual also.

MID POINT REVIEWS

Mid point reviews will take place next Monday (October 3rd) and the following Monday (October 10th).

The reviews will take place in room 124, which is opposite the main office downstairs. You all have an allocated date and time - please make sure you are there on time.

I will be reviewing Project 1 (which you will need to bring with you), Project 3 (which I have), your progress with projects 2 and 4, and your participation - so that I can give you an idea of an overall grade, and your progress in general in class.

PROJECT 4 - Any Questions?

You need to select an specific area of "The History of Typography", research this subject, and write 100 words. (The 100 words will be used later in your calendar page design.)
On Monday you will present your research to the class, and will have a (hard copy) of your 100 words.
(You will also present research for your Typographic Journal - approximately 100 pieces.)

Are there any questions about Project 4?

RE-WORKING PROJECT 1

A few people have contacted me to ask if they can redo Project 1. Yes - of course!

But you cannot be re-graded. Your grade still stands.
(Deadlines are final in the real world - you don't a second chance with a client.)

If you want to redo it for your portfolio, for your BFA application - great. Of course I will look at your ideas - no problem. But I think you should concentrate on your current projects first. I will look at your ideas, but I think you should leave the bulk of any extra work to perhaps the Christmas vacation?
